Spell Resistance

currently our 10th level party is fighting a bunch of drow, and their spell resistance is killing us... any advice of feats, spells, items, etc that would help us out?

daylight, and area affect spells such as fireball.

There are feats that give you bonuses on your rolls to overcom SR (spell penetration, maybe?). Conjuration spells are usually exempt from SR, since they create an object and the object itself does the damage (Melf's is your friend). Don't forget summoned allies.

In the new supplement, Planar Handbook, there is a spell for lowering SR. Called Spell Vulnerability. Clc 4, Sor/Wiz 3. Should easily be within reach of a single class caster in your group. Close range, one target, lasts a minute/lvl and drops SR by 1/caster lvl max 15. Of course it needs no SR roll, but it requires a fort save. However, even that is better, since the target takes a penalty to that save equal to caster level. Pretty sweet eh.

Lower Spell Resistance.

It's a 4th level spell in the Draconomicon.

use enhancement spells on your party or area effect stuff.... usually does the trick.

They need to be chopped into tiny bits. Don't let 'em use arrows, because they're poisoned (I just ran a drow attack, and the poison decimated the party). You might want to focus on spells building up your party, rather than wearing the drow down.

Area affect spells aren't always the way to go. Spell Resistance applies to Fireballs, lightning bolts, and magic missiles. Basically any spell that deals direct damage is chancy. Let your front line (Fighters and Clerics) handle that responsibility.

Spells that enhance your Party, such as Bless and Prayer, are a big help. While it's tempting to put a Bull's Strength on your strongest fighter, give it instead to the Rogue or Cleric that takes the line. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Entropic Shield and Protection from Arrows are good at stopping the Drow volley.

In other words, don't try taking out the Drow by attacking one of their strongest assets (ie, Spell Resistance), but focus on their weakensses (eg, Daylight).
