Too many people had problems accessing DALnet, so we're going to be using our tried-and-true panther.furnet.org
the channel is the same: #kiergame. Come on in, we're already gathering, even if you're not playing I'll allow observers. :)

Would any of you be interested in participating in a 3rd Edition D&D game over IRC (probably DALnet) this weekend, (Saturday and Sunday)? I'll be DMing, and I'm looking for 4 to 6 1st-level players. This won't be a long-term gaming commitment, just a single adventure; a sort of learning experience for me as a DM.
I'm going to go more or less "by the book" at the beginning, with the exception of Carrying Capacity, which I'm going to disregard completely unless it becomes a problem (I've never had it be a problem yet, I've found it slows things down more than anything). I'm not going to be much concerned with suspension of disbelief or consistency; this is sort of for me to learn hands-on what works for me and what doesn't, house-rules wise.
I'd like to have a varied a party as possible, but I won't complain unless everyone wants to play the same class :P
So yeah. If you're interested, you're more than welcome to email me ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) and I'll be more than happy on working with you on character generation (mostly just naming a few of my preferences, mostly as guidelines) and fitting your character into the adventure.
