DnD gaming via PC?

MIP Sith
I'm wondering what the best PC game is for DnD that's current with the 3.5 (or 3.0 if it's not up to date yet) rules.

Any suggestions?

OpenRPG lets you play a tabletop-esq D&D session with text and virtual minis with friends.

Neverwinter Nights (though far from my favourite CRPG) used, um, 3.0 and was remarkable in the sense that would-be DMs could write their own modules. I believe the CRPG Temeple of Elemental Evil is 3.5 but it didn't tempt me, so I didn't look and hence I'm not %100 sure.

yes ToEE is 3.5ed but its gameplay is not my style either ... so i havent really given it much of a chance.

AFAIK its the only PC game thats 3.5ed rule set atm.

Hoping Black Isle puts out something soon...oh yeh, Icewind Dale 2 is 3.0 ed .. i know you're lookin for 3.5 but thats the only other game that comes to mind, aside from NWN.

The last I heard Black Isle had been wound up. Merged into the parent company (Atari, is it?)

Pool of Radiance was the first 3.0 game, though it sucked pretty abd in that respect.

I personally didnt like the way they had the gameplay set up on ToEE. I cant really explain it, but it just didnt give me the addivtiveness like normal fantasy RPGs do.

with the latest expansion installed

I've played TOEE all the way and I enjoyed it on the whole. There are elements of it I didn't like much but it is fairly true to 3.5. There are some changes but not a huge amount. Most were for simplification of things hard to do in a PC game.
