D&D 3E
Any suggested 3.5e random character generators?

GoldenEye
My dm is looking for something to speed up his npc character creating. I've found Redblade and Jamis Buck's D&D NPC creator so far. Is there anything else out there similar to these two, preferably more like Jamis' creator (which is more of an insta-generator)?

Roll a d8 and pick a level-appropriate NPC from the DMG tables? Or is he having trouble shooting names and flavor from the hip?

Nah, it's not anything with names or "flavor". He's just looking for something less tedious than using the DMG, I guess is the best way of explaining it. Just trying to cut down on the prep time, a couple clicks versus rolling dice, skimming pages, and writing/typing the info up. (Quick at bs'ing during a game, but he's not a fast writer/typer.) Part of the reason why he's looking for something online/computer based is so that it's easy to print out as well.

Personally I thought Jamis's creator was kind of what he was looking for except he said he took a look at it he commented that it was more of a 3.0 set up than 3.5. *shrugs*

Have him go here to Ema's:
http://www.emass-web.com/index.php
Sign up & pay for "God" mode. (it is like a $20 one time fee)
And he can "share" all 135+ shared full characters from others on the site.
Plus he can then have up to 99 of his own char stored there ready to be converted to a PDF at a moments notice. and share any he wants to let others use too.
(A shared char can be printed, but not changed in any way on the data base. you are of course, free to do with the printed char what you will.)

I love the char sheet layout myself. and find it a great help with spell lists and and wit the new 4E stuff as well.

This is where I get my Main villains for a lot of my stuff.
Nice to have a fully fleshed out char that just needs a small tweak and a back story.

Thanks for the suggestion. ;) Seeing as he didn't mention if he was looking for free or was open to a couple $s price (I had kind of assumed the former), I'll pass the info on and let him take a look at the site.
