Me again. Last night, my DM and another of our group and I got together and started work on designing our characters and afterward set out on a tiny sample adventure. You can view the beginnings of my character behind the lj-cut. as always, comments are groovy.

Apolloyon “Yon” Tersey
Male Human Bard
True Neutral

+1 Bastard Sword (dubbed “Orc’s Bane” by my enthusiastic DM)

please forgive (and correct) any preposterous mistakes i've made in my notation. now, besides giving him a background, what else do i need to do to finish rounding out my character before we begin playing proper?

that bit of experience there, you might be interested to know, is due to a certain slime mold that would NOT let go. my useless halfelf thief of a cohort ran and hid instead of helping. arrgh.

also, my measley amount of gold is due to the purchase of that sword. the smith was particularly enamoured with me (again, due to my enthusiastic DM) and not only did i get the sword for nine gold pieces, but i also got a hot date. heh.

How'd you get your stats that high? Humans don't get bonuses, thereby 19 stats anywhere are impossible. your hp should be 8, and your ac should at least be 13. judging from the fact that your feat is Ambidexterity, you are using 3.0 rules. You can't have Cleave yet you need Power attack first. And unless you purchase Exotic weapon Proficiency, you may only use Orc's Bane as two-handed Weapon.
The alignment is called True Neutral. I hope this doesn't sound too rules lawyer-y(some one who knows the rules too well for their own good). And its also a term you can throw at people who won't keep to their own characters.

I dunno. My DM finalized my stats. I thought they seemed awful high myself, but I sure wasn't going to complain. I can only assume that he's playing by his own rules. I also assume that he's trying to get me off to a good start because I'm the only one of us who has no clue what he's doing. Again, not going to complain.
