Cleric/Rogue Prestige Class
25th-Mar-2006 03:50 pm
I have an NPC that's fairly integral to my current campaign's storyline, and he has recently gone through a pretty drastic change in his outlook on his place in the grand scheme of things.

He's a Rogue3/Cleric1 Drow , who has recently become interested in the religious dogma of a god that is very similar to Wee Jas.

I wanted to give him some levels in a prestige class that could blend his two classes, as I don't really like the idea of him tromping around in a suit of plate mail.

So I'm looking for a stealthy, neutral aligned cleric class.

Any ideas?

There is a nice class in Forgotten realms expansion called "Divine Seeker" that brings a religious aspect to the rogue class. you do need 10 ranks of hide however which mean level 7 or higher.

i'd take shadowbane stalker, throw out the alignment req and modify the detect evil class feature
it's essentially a VERY skilled & sneaky cleric prestige class

Temple Raider of Olidammara?

Skullclan Hunter, though that might be a tad off of neutral.

It might be fun to see an assassin-type class with Wee Jas. Like a holy readjustor for death. You could look at the assassin and the arcane trickster. With some tweaking that might work pretty well.

It's a little bit anti-undead, instead of pro-undead, but you could try the Divine Trickster:

You could probably modify the "Surprise for the Dead" to be something that *helps* undead instead--everything else in the class is neutral with regards to them. And make the prerequisite "Rebuke Undead" instead of "Turn Undead."

I like the character idea!

Since when is Wee Jas pro-undead?

...

...

...

Are you sure we're talking about the same goddess?

This is purely for educational purposes, and not a rip off of copyrighted material:

"Wee Jas, the goddess of death and magic... ...but she counts many powerful sorcerers and wizards (especially necromancers) among her worshipers. The domains she is associated with are Death, Law, and Magic."

"All lawful neutral clerics of Wee Jas rebuke or command undead."

(From the PHB, 3.5)

I don't know how much more pro-undead it gets.

It's true that Wee Jas is not mentioned in the Libris Mortis, which I find odd, but... ::shrug::

Yeah...nevermind, I don't know what I was thinking. I should've double-checked the details on Wee Jas before posting.

It's all right--the gods all have wonky names and stuff. I can't remember what half of them do.
