| In my current D&D campaign, I'm playing an urban druid from the dragon magazine. I'm loving her to death, but there are a few aspects of the urban druid that I have issues with. One of them is the urban shape.
As an urban druid, Adriel can change into any humanoid or into a few urban creatures (spiders, rats, dogs, etc.)
At this point, Adriel has learned how to change into tiny or large creatures and I'm befuddled by the benefit of this. Tiny, okay, she can turn into rats, now. But large? Can anyone suggest some good large humanoids? Everything I look at is either a giant (ogres) or monstrous humanoid. Is there ANYTHING that she can turn into that is large? Or is this ability junk? |
This is mostly an artifact of limiting the power of the lower-level shape changing spells.
As for other things common in a city, that are large: Horses and other mounts.
Or mabye an Ogre magi?
Minitaurs?
Ogres and Ogre Mages are Giants, so out.
Minitaurs are Monstorous Humanoids, and so out.
Monstorous Humanoids are independent types from Humanoids. (see the listing of types for Ranger Favorite Enemies, amoung others).
