Just wanted to ask. What languages do you speak (read/write) except English?

I took 4 years of French in highschool. Also, my fiancee knows quite a bit of Japanese so I've picked up a few words/phases of that.

Can I ask why?

You can ask. Do it. =)
Seriously, the reason for it is that I want to know if I'll publish here something not in English, who else could read it. (true_chaotic just wants to know if there are any readers here that can understand his native language =) )
Not mentioning the small fact above, it is just pure interest

Besides English I can read and write in French and German. I can also read and write a small amount of Spanish as well.

German (my native language).

Russian, estonian

I know a bit of Cantonese (southern Chinese)

Biblical Hebrew, Spanish and French fairly well. Decently OK at Klingon. A bit of German, koine Greek, Latin, Coptic, Syriac, Armenian and Farsi.

But not Russian. Though I believe "potzloi minya" is "kiss me" and "mokroi kuritza" is "wet chicken." :D

You believe right =)
but not "potzloi", more correct : "potselyi", and not "mokroi". "Mokraya" :D

I'm marginally competent in Spanish and German. I'm sure I sound like a six year old in German and a slacker middleschooler in Spanish, though. :)

I can do well enough in written French (Canadian French), and understand a bit of Danish. I'm trying to learn Sindarin, though.

German.

I've had several years in Spanish, and can understand at least half of what I read (don't ask me to respond in that language, though -- my recall's gone to hell since I haven't used it in five years). I've also discovered this gives me passing competency at other Romance languages -- I can get something out of basic sentances (subject-verb-object, with maybe an adjective or two), but won't even get the gist of complex comments. I've started learning Japanese, but I couldn't read anything more complicated than a children's book yet.

I know some Perisan. Had to pick it up because my girlfriend's dad is from the Middle East.

English only, pardner.

The most clever answer here!!! =)

*sigh* i'm a stupid american.

I've taken four years of Japanese, and I'm trying to elaborate on it watching subbed anime, movies, and other bits from Japan, regional languages (the real word escapes me momentarily) just kinda fuzz that up.

I would love America as a country to broaden its horizons and become a bilingual nation, but yea, that's another argument for another time/place.
