Looking for a spear-based PrC

DrG Don't know me
A friend of mine, in a game I'm in, is looking for a spear-based prestige class. Know of any good ones? She wants her character to strike fast and hard, and I'm making the usual rounds for suggestions. Thanks!

i think there's a kensai PrC floating around out there somewhere. maybe in OE.

Complete Warrior, actually.

course you could always just take power attack and improved initiative and combat reflexes and the associated feats. not that PrC's aren't cool sometimes, but the beauty of the fighter class is all those bonus feats. you can make pretty much exactly the character you want and never have to multi-class.

A Kensai would work (Complete Warrior), though it isn't spear specific.

There might be some kind of dragoon class. I'll see if I can track anything down.

Also, I seem to recall someone designing a Lancer class on the Wizard's forums at some point.

Okay, the first thing that I thought of when you mentioned spear based was valkyries, so I did some looking.

It has some heavy requirements though and as you haven't mentioned what kind of character your friend currently has, I'm going to take a guess that it might not work for her.

There's a d20 class called a "Speardancer" out there, but I could only find a pdf link to a preview of it so it's missing alot of info.

Maybe the Weaponmaster from Sword and Fist, modified somewhat?

Also, Dragon had an article "All about Polearms" a while back, and there was a fead,m Spear mastery, which gave you an offhand attach with the butt of the spear.

If players wants, then make it!
Few days ago I thought about such PrC for one of my NPC's, but there was a "Specialist: Doublespear fighter"
My advice is to modify one of existing classes. IMHO a modified fighter will do.

"She wants her character to strike fast and hard"
Who does not?
