Think high level bad-ass Orc NPC Ranger/Barbarian type character.

Why kind of mount do you see him riding?

Some kind of huge cat, i imagine.

Or a large boar.

Aye, someone else suggested boar. Sounds mighty intimidating.

Advanced Dire Wolf?

I think maybe a fiendish dire wolf would be intimidating 0.o

I'd think that would depend on the environment. If it were plains or something like that, then that would definitely work. It seems like all answers involve "dire" lol. I like that.

Advanced Dire Wolf.

Then they can have matching fangs and drool.

And breath.

Depends on the environment.

Southron orcs ride rhinoceroses. At high speed in straight lines.

Woodland orcs ride big wolves.

Nordic orcs ... probably also ride big wolves. But maybe snow bears.

Jungle orcs obviously ride dinosaurs. Predatory ones of appropriate size.

And any orc can ride a manticore or wyvern. Or dire bat. Depending.

Orcs have porcine features.

So, really, a dire boar. Or a half-fiendish dire boar. If you have access to the Templates in Savage Species, maybe even a feral dire boar.

Dire lion.

I'd go with a hippogriff. Fast in the air, fast on the ground, great mobility (thanks to wingover) and very aggressive. They look pretty cool, too.

Rhino is my first response.

Elephant is my second. :D

Here here!!!! Rhino for the win.
8th-Oct-2005 04:45 pm (UTC)
an enormous badger =)
8th-Oct-2005 09:13 pm (UTC)
A wolf, a boar, or a some maddened steed.
9th-Oct-2005 03:16 pm (UTC)
Actually, I've always been a fan of the tireless running orcs, but hey, gotta worry about game balance, right?
8th-Oct-2005 09:56 pm (UTC)
Warg. Gotta be a warg.

9th-Oct-2005 03:34 am (UTC) - When in doubt, add a template...!
Adsvanced Dire Wolverine or even Dire badger... They can both rage...!!! Or perhaps the nasty "Razorboar" from MM2- Vorpal Tusks! But if you want something that can fly... A Half-Fiend Displacer Beast- 10ft reach with tenticles, will not hesitate to go into a dungeon, can fly, and it's displacement ability affects the rider (wow a 20? really? that would be a critical- IF YOU ACTUALLY HIT HIM!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Has to be a Dire Fiendish Tarrasque Loremaster named Bob.
