Nymph's Kiss
26th-Apr-2005 01:53 pm
Hello!  This shall be my first post, though I've lurked here for quite some time.  :)
I was wondering if any of you could tell me if the Nymph's Kiss feat found in Exalted Deeds requires the participants to be of opposite gender?
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't at all in the text. Same gender, different whatever.

In game terms, I don't find it suprising if the same gender has the feat. Think about it this way, Nymphs are nature's embodiement of beauty, so they can appreciate and love all forms of beauty.

Plus, I just think Nymphs and Dryads are so bisexual anyways.

So you think when it says that you have developed an intimate relationship it is talking about the naught kind? Wouldn't work for my character on several levels. I play a roughly 12(human) year old female gnome and our nymph is under an ugliness curse.

Hahahahahaa. Not neccesarily. That last bit was some sarcasm on my part.

I'd just repeat what I said about beauty. A parent child relationship is one of the most intimate one can have, so that definitely qualifies in my opinion.

I agree. I don't think gender is important. I also agree that "intimate" can be of different kinds. I think the original *intent* is probably that of a physical nature, but it isn't a requirement.

I ran into a similar situation with my new character, an alu-fiend, or half-incubus. Succubi/incubi have an energy drain attack that is caused by "some act of passion, or by simply planting a kiss on the victim". I ruled that 1) gender didn't mater and 2) it didn't need to be sexual, but a kiss.

It certainly is much hotter to think about them that way ...
