Just Wondering

Has anyone published, or can someone suppose the details on the sword Excalibur? One use I was considering might be the Urban Arcana setting for d20 Modern, and how various artifacts might turn out to be magical items of long ago.

I would say that your best bet is to take a look at what special qualities that authors throughout the years have attributed to the sword and make up your own stats using the rules in the DM's Guide. Some of the more famous authors I can think of that dealt with this subject are Sir Thomas Mallory (Le Morte d'Arthur), Mary Stewart (Crystal Caves series), T.H. White (Once and Future King), and I think it's Marion Zimmer Bradley for her Mists of Avalon series (but can't remember for sure if she's the author or not...). I would imagine that the same could be said for just about any "historical" artifact out there. All it takes is a bit of research. :)

Excalibur was done in the 1st advanced edition Deities and Demigods under the Arthurian Mythos, and might be in the 2nd edition Legends & Lore book.
It'd be more fun to make up the stats though to fit your idea of it.
