Anyone wanna give me suggestions as to what types of business/people would be in a large (and growing) mining town?

Nestled away NE of Silverymoon to be exact...just NW of Citiadel Adbar....there abouts.

Obviously there is neither boatmaker nor a harbourmaster.
I'm trying to make a map of town and populate it with people and places. Working nights doesn't give me the creative time I would like to have on this.

thanks.

A few relevant businesses would include food markets, bakers, butchers, taverns, brothels, clothing repair, blacksmiths, horse/donkey/mule stables, coopers, leatherworkers, and, of course, warehouses for all the stuff that would have to be shipped in to support the mining operations. Add barracks and support buildings for the garrison (who owns the mining operations, anyway? Whoever it is, he'll certainly want order kept around the town to keep bandits at bay).

The resource you need is "Midieval Demographics Made Easy" I've been using this site for years to help me fill in space in towns and cities. About halfway down the page you will find a listing of merchants and services. I don't use it as a strict guideline but as a source of inspiration. That chart is mostly based on historical realistic values, so in a fantasy setting, expect more "interesting" individuals, and fewer dirt farmers.

Thank you. I know the general stuff I want to put in there and have some ideas where to put each thing, and this hopefully will help fill out the rest.
