there's not a lot of me left anymore
Hi. :)

I am looking for a map builder program online for my D&D campaign. I don't want super duper features, just please make it easy to use. And please don't recommend MapTool or ProFantasy Fractal Terrains - I've downloaded both of those and can't make sense of them. :(

Thanks so much!

What kind of machine do you have? (If you say, "Mac", your options are more limited.)

What are some of the things you'd want it to do?

PC. I just want a topdown view that looks nice. I don't need a 3d view or anything.

hmm, top down view on PC.

Have you considered sim city? you can make maps in that.

in all seriousness though, if you run linux there are some decent free ones for that, if you are running windows that I can't help you unless you want to spend some green.

Try VCS, it's a mapping system and a combat program.

There's a write-up and links in this PDF

there's this amazing cross platform map program, i seriously have never even considered using anything else!

first, look up "graph paper" on google images. Print it out and grab a "pencil," stay with me now, it's actually an ancient tool used to mark objects.

It's extremely intuitive, and works with all editions of Dnd and Gurps. Not sure about Whitewolf products.

A Sample

Enjoy!

Thanks for your entirely useless comment, but I want something a little better looking than a pencil on graph paper.
