Scarred Lands?
25th-Mar-2008 03:43 am
matt, summer, gardens
So, I just noticed that most of the Scarred Lands eBooks are $4.99 (or less).

The Creature Collections are still $9.99, but I'm more interested in the location books anyway.

I've already got Hollowfaust, but I'm wondering what folks think of Hornsaw: Forest of Blood, Shelzar: City of Sins and Wilderness & Wasteland (for example, feel free to recommend other books too).

I'm desperately in love with Scarred Lands. To the point where I've been Amazon seller and Ebaying the real copies of the books.

'Course, I'm flavouring things to taste, but it's still the best setting ever.

I think it really depends on where you're looking to run a game. It's a massive world. The "Ghelspad" and "Termana" books are handy to have.

For those of us (read: me) who know nothing about it, can you describe it a little bit?

Very... gritty. It has a decidedly greco-roman feel. Religion is very important, as the gods literally walked the land in the recent memory of people that are still alive (Not Humans, though).
