Unless I've gone retarded, improvised weapons have a -4 to hit, and do damage based on its size, as determined by the DM.

Soft things do subdual damage, hard things deal lethal damge.

Being hit with a Volkswagon Jetta is an automatic death effect on a failed reflex save...

I see you still play 3.0

I looked it up in the 3.5 PHB.

Why, did I get it wrong or something?

Not technically...it's just that it's called "nonlethal damage" instead of "subdual damage" in the 3.5 books.

Eh, I've always preferred subdual.

I thought it was "sub-duel" damage when I was learning (I was a sorceress, and nobody ever thought to explain it to me) and it confused the hell out of me. I prefer nonlethal. But that's why they call them preferences--we can pick our own. ;-)

I see you still pick nits

Nitpicking, pah. Precision in communication is essential if you want people to know what you're attempting to convey. Otherwise it degenerates into nothing more than a bunch of guesswork.

Yeah, but it's not even like he mixed standard and attack actions.

Haha! You've read Lois Lowry's The Giver, haven't you?

Oddly enough, it doesn't ring any bells.

During a game of Call of Cthulhu (I know, I know, off topic), someone actually asked me, "Mike, what's the damage on a 1929 Packard?"

And sure enough, it got used as a weapon.

I'll see your 1929 Packard and raise you three National Express coaches, two of them cutting off a horse-and-four and the other ramming it up the back.

I miss Torg.

The SRD is your friend when you lose your PHB :)

Well done.
