Of Hurricane

Of Hurricane you wish to know? Of course I'll tell you. Nowadays few listen to the tales of heroes of old. I wonder how did you even hear of him... On a quest, right? Ok, ok I begin...

Don't ask me about his real name, even his close friends didn't know it, why ask a former king's archer.
-You were a king's archer? one of his personal guards?
-Yes, I was! And a fine one! To speak justly, one of the best! that's how i lost my arm...
A sign of sorrow appeared on elf's face but quickly disappeared.
-But I was defeated by the best!
-And who was it?
-The one you ask me to tell about...
-Him? So you fought him?
-No, not exactly him... don't interrupt please, young man, someone must teach you patience!
-So when was it?
-During the siege of Inaj, I was one of those on the city walls. The enemy hordes were as large as the sea, flowing and flowing. And Hurricane was in the head of that army.
-I'm sorry but everyone knows that Inaj was attacked by the hordes of undead, and Hurricane, as far as i know, was a human...
-You want to know about his past, right?
-Yes, please...
-Ok, as I told you, no one knew his real name, or names of his relatives. Everyone knew him as Hurricane, and he got that name justly. On a battlefield he was like a whirlwind of blades, like a god of war himself, no one could stop him if he had an enemy... People that knew him as a man of unhuman abilities. As fast as the thought, and deadly... very deadly. No one who dared to fight him survived.
-But how did you?
-I said, I didn't literally fought him, and wasn't his aim...
-Then who was?
-Chainer...
-The First Paladin?
-Yes, that's how they call him now. I'm proud that I stood near him, considering that he was a human... He was like a flaming torch in the lightless night... Hurricane chose him. I was just near. His blade was very fast... my arm was not.
-I'm very sorry for your loss...
-Be sorry for others near, they've lost their heads.
-Hurricane fallen in this attack did he?
-Yes...
-But i didn't know he led the undead. He is buried as the hero of Inaj!
-The didn't lead them...
-In books they tell he even chopped of the hand of their sorcerer. I personally saw that hand in Inaj's museum.
-Chopped off his hand, did he? Yes, hehe, he STARTED with the hand... actually the hand was the only thing found after...
-After what?
-After that sorcerer tried to cast something towards Chainer...
-He saved Chainer and then tried to kill him?
-Quite extraordinary man he was, right?
-I just don't understand...
-It's simple, he wanted to fight Chainer himself, and the sorcered could harm Chainer. Maybe he thought it was unfair...
-You said, Chainer stood on the city wall, near you... then how did Hurricane got there?
-It's also simple, he jumped...
-On the wall!?!
-I've told you about his abilities. But that jump cost him much. He distracted and upon landing was hit by archers... undead archers and many of them.
-And Chainer?
-Took his body, and brought it to the temple... a kind person he was... and a friend of him
-Attacked a friend? It seems as he was a different person each day...
-May seem a joke to you...
-Where can I find his remains?
-Go to the temple of the Blades, the temple built by his followers. But beware of them...
-My last question...
-Go on?
-How old was he, when he died?
-Heh... looked like being about 22... But was nearly 40...
-But how?
-You asked your 'last question' young man, now go ask his followers...
-Ok...

Commentary on extract
Hurricane is not my PC, though i'd love to play him. Anyway, no DM would allow such character to his campaign. So he is a valuable NPC, one of my favourite ones. He has a Fighter ch. class. but no fighter of equal CL is a challenge to him. He is a DMs cheat, if to speak fairly. When party encounters him, it doesn't even bother him. A nice choice, sometimes, to show some players that they have much to learn in the world. Teaches 'em something...

I just wonder who are you to speak so bold, yet incognito...
And, for example d20 modern roleplaying game tell that "DM can't actually cheat" =)
PLZ show yourself... just to know who has such strong anticipation of the author. If so brave as your commentary...

Yeah, and both of you should write under your real names, cause such nameless commentaries will be deleted without any thought of hesitation. Very brave, both of you...

What is this supposed to be?

What? My speaking with myself or the text above?
If first - I've found an interesting person to talk with.
If second - just a story of my favourite NPC... wanted to share it with others.
