D&D 3E
Thrill Seekers on Paper.

I was on the bus and I was talking to the guy next to me. I told him that tonight was my late night. He asked me why I was coming home late, and I told him that on Thursdays I stay in town late to play D&D. After a 5 minute conversation about what D&D was he said: Gamers are like THRILL SEEKERS ON PAPER.

I thought WOW, that's it. Such a good explanation, because in a good encounter don't you get all juiced up - just as if you were rock climbing?

What do you all think?!

it's a good description, but some of us seek a more genuine adrenaline rush through Boffer LARPing...

Keep your delusions in your head i say, or on paper, for that matter. No one wants to see a bunch of geeks acting out their weird fantasies, espically with VtM, i hate that game. Too many freaking goths play it -shudder-.

Random tangent but that uniform/background in your icon looks really familiar...

You in the Sealed Knot by any chance?

I used to be in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Life is good when you can dress up and play lets pretend; especially when you are 44 years old!

Oh totally, except we get to run around fields and fire gunpowder off at each other - great fun
