Where are there official alcohol rules for D&D 3.5? I found some 3.0 rules in the Arms and Equipment Guide, but I was wondering if they were anywhere else...

why does that remind me of the old Dr. Demento bit...

"AM I GETTING DRUNK? ROLL THE DICE TO SEE IF I'M GETTING DRUNK! ARE THERE ANY GIRLS THERE?"

:D

For the most part, Arms and Equipment is compatable with 3.5. I'd go with that.

Yeah, but I'm curious if it's printed anywhere else.

I think they made a guide devoted entirely to taverns and suchlike, but I don't remember the name of it. A friend of mine has a copy of it.

I'm pretty damn sure Wizards didn't, though I wouldn't be surprised if a third party published one.

There are also some alcohol rules in Goodman Games' 'Beyond Monks: Art of the Fight'

I dunno of any official rules, but our rule is always "Bring enough for everyone." ;-)

And THAT. Is a good rule for ANY edition.

They don't exist.

Oh, there are the odd expansion that shows some variant, and there are at least three different d20 works that reference them.

But not a one of them puts Alcohol where it SHOULD be--as a DC 30 ingested poision that does -1 Wis/-1 Dex damage and whose effects automatically fade by one dose per hour, listed in the DMG right alongside "scorpion venom", "snakebite", and "deadly mandrake".

EN Publishings, "Tournaments, Fairs, and Taverns" has rules that cover drinking. They may be the kind of thing you're looking for.
