x posted. i need to find a good resource for ship plans. i'm running a D&D campaign centered around sailing and pirates. any ideas?

I think Broadsides! by Living Imagination is probably your best bet. If you're likely to throw in a lot of high fantasy then you might prefer Seas of Blood by Mongoose Publishing. Unless you want to stick to historicaly accurate games, SCA quality history, then resist the babe on the front cover and don't succumb to Atlas Games' Black Flags.

As an outside chance, if you want magic flying ships, then Bastion Press' Airships is very good. Airships contains excellent rules for building your own ship, the costs, the time and crew quality.

it's entirely possible i'm missing asomething here, but... uh, it looks like a bunch of gay stuff (not that there's anything wrong with that) and no historically accurate pirate stuff. um. yeah.
