anyone have any good online resources for city design?

**that is, i mean like a guide to city design or something, not software. i'm making a city for my campaign and i'm at an impasse, i'm looking for ideas.

You know, I seem to remember having something like that in a pdf from the Wizards site, but since my hard drive got wiped, I have no idea. It was something about districts and typical block stats for a district... I'll go dig through the archives on Wizards, maybe it's still there.

RPGNow has the City Design Guide, a free excerpt from "A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe".

I'd also like to use this opportunity to plug Urbis - A World of Cities, a D&D setting I am developing that focuses on city-based adventures. Maybe it will be of some inspiration to you...

It's not very useful for ideas, but it overloads you with data. It's kind of helpful, I used it to help designa major city in my campaign world.

I hope this helps some :)
